30 Silverglyphics Production #6: Second Proof Copy

CopyPress gave me the second proof copy of 30 Silverglyphics this week. As you can see, the cover and inner of the book match each other, now. The book looks good and so my annotations (last picture) are few. While waiting for the proof I re-read the contents again, and picked-up a few errors, like double spaces instead of single ones, and scattered spelling mistakes (mostly changing American English to New Zealand English). I will give permission to CopyPress to print all 40 copies early next week.

The cover looks tidy and the spine adjustment will make the writing there sit more nicely.

One of my favorite innovations during the proofing process was the double fold for the map. It's size didn't change for the second proof copy and I made it slightly bigger.

For the print run copy I have deleted the name stamp, and plan to stamp each copy individually in red ink.

The map, map title and facing text sit well. I felt worried the book was becoming too much of a square, but for this edition, I feel very statisfied.

The photo and text for these pages also looks good. I found the shadows don't reflect my adjustments, so I have lightened them for the print run.
